"Well that's the 2014 season done and dusted. It's been a year of ups and downs, highs and lows and memorable moments. I've made so many good friends along the way and had one of the best years on my bike I've ever had. I finish the season 9th overall in seniors in the UK Gravity Enduro series after only racing two rounds and 9th overall in the Scottish Enduro Series. Other highlights include my first podium at the Highland Perthshire CyclingDunkeld enduro, getting a 73rd stage result at the TweedLove Enduro World Series, winning the Angus Cycling Festival Forfar funduro, 2nd at theMuckmedden fair city enduro, winning the senior scottish enduro championships and racing my first EWS races in Peebles and Finale Ligure.
There are some people who I wish to thank at this point. Without their help I simply wouldn't have been able to go racing this year. I owe them alot and I hope I did them proud representing them this year.
Ben and Scott from The Kona Bicycle Co. for giving me the most amazing bike(s) to race on this year and posting my race reports on the Kona COG, Graeme from Hart's Cyclery for keeping my bike running throughout the season and supporting me with spares, repairs and everything in between, thank you to Gregor from Sweet Protection for putting me in the best cycling gear and helmets on the market, it has been a pleasure to wear the kit. Pete from Silverfish UK, High5 Sports Nutrition, Trev from ENDURO Mountainbike Magazine and last but not least my family, thank you to Mum, Dad and little sis for always supporting me and helping me to achieve my dreams no matter how ambitious they may seem. I couldn't have done it without you.
As for me, there are going to be some changes in 2015 and I'm extremely excited about what next season will bring. Time to knuckle down to quality study time and winter training.
